Minister of State for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Purna Bahadur Tamang has asked the Secretary of the Ministry Suresh Acharya for an explanation. State Minister Tamang has asked Secretary Acharya for an explanation within 24 hours saying that he boycotted the program he participated in.
State Minister Tamang has written a letter to Secretary Acharya on Thursday evening asking him to explain. In this explanation, State Minister Tamang was made the chief guest at the program held by the Water Resources and Irrigation Department on March 25. After Minister Deepak Khadka was absent from the program, the Minister of State became the chief guest.
Secretary Acharya did not participate in the stage and left the stage without participating even when the program director called for taking a seat during the opening ceremony.
State Minister Tamang said, 'Despite the Director General of Seven Departments Sanjiv Baral repeatedly requesting to take a seat, he has been asked for clarification on matters including that he is not ready to sit in the program attended by the State Minister.'
Secretary's behavior has affected the ministry's reputation and procedures, so 'why not take action against you?' An explanation has been asked.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Energy Minister Deepak Khadka and Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal have been informed about the explanation.
