180 Buddhists from Vietnam, who consider Lumbini as a very holy place, will come to Bhairahawa on 5th Baisakh through a charter plane.
According to Ramesh Parajuli, Managing Director of Rupsey Holidays in Kathmandu, 180 tourists will land directly at Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhaiharwa from Vietnam Airlines. "We are taking a direct charter flight from Vietnam for the first time," Parajuli said, "This flight is going to be organized for the purpose of promoting religious and cultural tourism between Vietnam and Nepal." They will go to Varanasi, India by road from Lumbini on 6th Baisakh. The charter plane that will bring them will return to Vietnam empty from Bhairahawa.
In the second phase, Rupsey Holidays is flying two charter flights from Vietnam to Kathmandu. Those flights will take place on May 2nd and 12th. Rupsey has previously conducted many tourist charter flights in Vietnam-Kathmandu.
