The mud has caused a problem in traffic in Downe. The highway construction contractor poured water on the Dhulamya highway in the morning and the traffic started to slip due to the rain since morning.
According to District Police Chief Yadav Dhakal, the vehicle started slipping when the water was poured on the Dhulamya Highway. In addition, due to the rain since morning, the thick dust on the highway has turned into mud, and the vehicle is unable to move due to slipping on the highway.
Dhakal informed that the train going from west to east was stopped in Bardghat, Sunwal area and the train going west from Kathmandu, Pokhara and Virganj was stopped at Gandakot, Rajhar, Kawasoti, Chormara and Arunkhol.
It has been normal in East Nawalparasi since Thursday morning. Due to the demolition of the road in Daunne to widen the highway, there is 2-3 feet thick dust.
The highway was blocked from 11 am to 3 pm on Wednesday for road maintenance. The work has been started by stopping the traffic on the highway for 4 hours every day till March 31.
The police have said that the highway has become unstable due to water being poured on the highway without removing the dust. Due to the fact that the vehicle slips while driving on the bumpy road and the road is crooked, vehicles are not able to move easily on the highway.
