Passengers are looking for an alternative route as the road section of Butwal-Narayangadh road under expansion will be closed for repairs. In order to pass the short and easy descent section, it is considered easy for small vehicles to leave Dumkibas via Bhutaha, Samsarnat, Patuke, Dandajor, but goods carrying vehicles have to use a long distance route.

If small vehicles and passengers traveling through the lower section have to go from Butwal to Narayangadh as an alternative route, from Bardghat Municipality Bhutaha in West Nawalparasi, head north through Samsarnat, Patuke to Binay Triveni in East Nawalparasi. Dumkibas can go out through Dandanjor of the village.

This road is 15 km long, 4 km is paved and the rest is rough and narrow, so it will be easy for four-wheelers. Large and heavy vehicles are not considered suitable for this section . Although the Lumbini state government has advanced the work as an alternative route to Daune, the work of widening the road has been delayed due to lack of sufficient budget. If there had been work on this section with proper care, there would not have been a situation where the traffic had to stop and work on the downhill section now.

The road department and the traffic police do not formally suggest driving through this road section. When using the alternative route, the vehicle owner  A route permit is mandatory. The road department said that the vehicles going west from Narayangadh will have to go to Butwal from Gandakot in East Nawalparasi through Kaligandaki corridor and exit Palpa. Mini buses and buses can be operated in this section. Big vehicles and cargo trucks have to leave from Muglin in Chitwan to Butwal via Pokhara, Palpa.

District Traffic Police Office East Nawalparasi Police Inspector Janak Banjara has suggested to use the alternative route only on the route designated by the road department . During the road closure, vehicles will be stopped at Jamire and Hakuhi road sections in West Nawalparasi, while large and heavy vehicles will be stopped at Arunkhola, Chormara and passenger buses and small vehicles at Dumkibas area in the eastern section.

Daily hours  After traffic jams and the dust makes it impossible to see the vehicle in front, the road department has started repair and expansion work by stopping non-emergency vehicles from Wednesday along the east-west highway. From 27th of Chait from 11 am to 3 pm and traffic has been stopped . Vehicular traffic will be closed from 11th of Baisakh to 15th of Baisakh from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am.

Butwal-Narayangadh road section is under expansion . For the last 6 years, 114 kilometers of road expansion is being done, but due to the lack of work as per the agreement, passengers traveling through this section are suffering. Compared to other areas, passengers have suffered due to dust, potholes and hours-long traffic jams in 14 km of the southern section.
