Member of Parliament Sobita Gautam from Nepal has been elected as a member of the Health Committee of the Inter-Legislative Association. On Wednesday, MP Gautam was elected to the health committee formed by the 150th General Assembly of the Inter-Legislative Association held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The Health Advisory Group of the IPU was upgraded and the Committee on Health  It was decided to make. According to the rules of the newly formed committee, on April 9, 2025, the IPU Governing Council elected 15 members for a four-year term, which will expire in March 2029.

13 people including RSWP MP Gautam from Nepal have been elected unopposed in the health committee. Earlier, National Assembly member Anjan Shakya represented Nepal on behalf of the Asia-Pacific region in the Standing Committee on Sustainable Development of the Inter-Legislative Union (IPU).
