Lamichhane arrest case: RSVP's memorandum to Human Rights Commission for investigation

The National Independent Party has submitted a memorandum to the National Human Rights Commission to investigate the matter, stating that the police have violated the human rights provided by the constitution while implementing the order of the High Court to the chairman Ravi Lamichhane.

According to RSWP, the police went to the house overnight like a heinous criminal and arrested him from his bed to implement the High Court's order to send him to prison for pre-trial detention. Similarly, the party said that when arrested, they were asked what their last wish was, like a person about to be executed, and revenge was given. Referring to the fact that the police were mobilized after the order was received in a different manner than the procedure, the RSVP demands that the commission investigate the incident.

RSVP Acting General Minister Kavindra Burlakoti, Chief Whip Santosh Periyar, MP Ganesh Parajuli and other team also told about the gift incident to Commission Chairman Tap Bahadur Magar on Wednesday.

President Magar committed to the RSVP team to initially monitor the issues raised in the memorandum and further investigate the matter, said Tikaram Pokharel, spokesperson of the Commission.
