Buddhisagar Marasini, a Kantipur worker who has been active in the field of journalism for more than a decade and a half, has been honored. Marasini was honored on the occasion of 'Nepal-Australia Cultural and Honor Program-2025' held on Wednesday at the Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu.
He was awarded in recognition of his contribution to foreign affairs, Nepali society abroad, youth, tourism and culture through journalism. Marasini was presented with cash and certificate of honor by State Minister of Forestry and Environment Rupa Vick. In
event, along with Kantipur Karma Marasini, journalist Rajan Pokharel, founder of Great Stupa of Universal Compassion Ian Green 'OAM' and actors of Sino teleserial were also honored.
The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion in Victoria, Australia is one of the world's most important Buddhist monuments. Modeled after the Boudha Nath Stupa in Lumbini, this stupa has been promoting Buddhism, peace, meditation, and culture.
