UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that the reactionaries are advocating against the changes brought by the people. Addressing the public awakening meeting held in Birendra Nagar on Tuesday, he said that it has been proven that the Shah dynasty, which ruled Nepal's politics for 150 years, has been forever removed from the people's movement.
He said, 'They are trying to scare the people by becoming ghosts,' he said. We have come here to warn.' He said that some people have raised questions saying that they have held Jagransabha despite being in the government. Elaborating on that, he said, 'If someone had protested against the government with the demands of the people, they would not have come to the streets. If someone points fingers against the changes brought by the people, they must be punished.'
General Secretary Pokharel claims that UML understands what the people want. He said that he came among the people to convey the message that UML can bear the responsibility of protecting the changes brought by the people.
