The human rights organizations have demanded that a judicial committee should be formed to impartially investigate the fact that extensive force was used in the three-cornered incident.

Amnesty International, Accountability Watch Group, Advocacy Forum and Justice and Rights Organization (Juri Nepal) issued a joint statement on Sunday and demanded that there should be an objective investigation into the human rights violations in the three Kune incidents.

"Looking at the facts that have been exposed regarding the incident, it is not possible to believe that the use of force by the police was 'necessary' and 'proportionate' and to give the home administration the benefit of the doubt," the statement said, "The use of force in that incident, its side effects, as well as the mysterious death of journalist Suresh Rajak and the violent acts committed by the protestors have been seen to be a fair and independent judicial investigation."

Their conclusion is that an independent investigation is essential. They have also urged the government to ensure accountability by forming a reasonable mechanism under Section 3 of the Commission of Inquiry Act, 2026.
