The Maoist Center has nominated former Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun to the post of Vice President. In the last officers' meeting, Pun was nominated for the position of vice president through the central member, standing committee. A leader said that the party's lower committee had been circulated about him being nominated as vice president.

Earlier, Pun was given the charge of the Production Bureau. He was attending party meetings as an invited leader.

Pun held the post of Vice President for two terms.
