Forest and Environment Minister Ain Bahadur Shahi has said that the government's efforts alone will not control wildfires. Minister Shahi said this while inaugurating the Fire Safety and Electronic Security International Conference-2025, which was organized with the aim of promoting the latest technology related to fire risk reduction and electrical safety.
Minister Shahi says that there is a lack of modern equipment and manpower for fire control and management. He said, "Nepal government has taken the fire very seriously". He said that it would not be possible to do
fire reduction only by the Nepalese government. "The Ministry of Forest and Environment told Dhaleola It has been working as an important disaster," he said. In the
conference, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Urban Development, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, representatives of all 753 local levels, industry sector and fire and electrical safety experts are present. In the
program, experts from 14 countries including China, India, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, and the Philippines will present papers. Various sessions, technology exhibitions and interactive programs will be conducted to inform the participants about international experience, technology and best practices.
