Nepali Congress General Minister Bishwa Prakash Sharma has objected to the fact that the parliamentary committee did not pay enough attention to the three corners incident.
He expressed this complaint while speaking at the State Order and Good Governance Committee meeting held at Singh Darbar on Wednesday. According to him, when a serious incident occurs in the country, the first attention should be drawn to the parliament, but the three corners incident has been neglected. He expressed his displeasure that the State Order and Good Governance Committee did not take this matter seriously when the Parliament was not in session. He said that the committee should call the home minister and get information about the understanding of the government.
'Does the state not even have the capacity to manage a crowd of 4,000?' he questioned.
He added, 'If any serious incident happens in the country, it should become the subject of the first attention of the Parliament. When the Parliament is not running now, the first agenda of the 'Mini Parliament' i.e. State Order and Good Governance Committee should have been the incident of Chait 15th. Where did the agenda creation process fail? What is the process? If it was made earlier, why was it not improved later?'
He called the home minister in the committee meeting and demanded to clarify the understanding of the state administration. He added, 'doesn't the state have the ability to control a crowd of up to 4,000? Was the use of force intentional or accidental?'
Chief Minister Sharma said that the government should give a clear answer on whether the use of force during the agitation was deliberate or accidental.
