The royalists have objected to the fact that the Kathmandu Metropolitan City sent a letter to the former king Gyanendra Shah to pay a fine, judging that he caused haphazard littering on the roads and road boxes and damaged the physical structure during the demonstration in Tinkune area on March 15.

The United People's Movement Committee for the Restoration of the Raj Sanstha issued a statement on Monday and said that it has drawn serious attention to the fact that the city has sent a fine letter to Shah. In the statement issued by the acting coordinator of the

committee, Jagman Gurung, the decision to levy the fine has also been demanded to be withdrawn. The committee also said that the decision to send a letter to the former king without fining the organizer was against the previous policy of the metropolis, as the Nationality, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizen Rescue Mahabhiyan had obtained permission from the administration for the three-corner program. The committee has also concluded that the letter was sent by the metropolis with the aim of creating confusion and disbelief about former king Shah. The committee also said that legal action will be taken against it if the fine decision is not withdrawn.

The Metropolitan Municipality has imposed a fine of 793,000 on Shah under 8 different headings, finding him to be the main culprit in the damage caused by the demonstration in Tinkune area. The metropolis sent a bill of 793 thousand to Nirmal Niwas with 1 lakh 30 thousand in one title, 1 lakh in 6 titles and 63 thousand in one title. However, the metropolis said that the letter was sent by post after the letter was refused at Nirmal Niwas.
