Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that former King Gyanendra Shah will not be given immunity. Addressing the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, he mentioned that former king Shah was also involved in the violent movement of the royalist group in Tinkune last Friday.
He claimed that anyone who engages in violent agitation under any guise will be brought to justice.
Prime Minister Oli accused the former King Shah of inciting the crowd by issuing a video statement. He said, 'Do you not have to publicize your views on a series of events because you say you will become king again by changing the system?' asked.
He said, 'Former King Gyanendra Shah released a public video statement on February 7 and incited the crowd. Purvaraja Shah does not get immunity. Shouldn't he make public his views on all these series of events because he says he will become king again, and change the system?'
When Prime Minister Oli made a statement against the former king, RPP MPs stood up in the assembly and protested.
