The team of the Metropolitan Police Force, which went to hand over the letter of fine reduction to former King Gyanendra Shah by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, was turned away from the gate of Nirmal Niwas.

On Friday, the metropolis imposed a fine of 793 thousand rupees on the name of Gyanendra Shah for vandalizing the public structure by littering during the demonstration of the royalist group in Tinkune. The metropolis had cut 8 letters in the name of Shah. The team that went to deliver the same letter was turned away by the Shah's secretariat from the gate.

In response to Ikantipur's question on how to deliver the letter, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajunath Pandey, head of the Metropolitan Police Force, says, 'When we do not physically deliver the letter, we will go to the next process.' Chief Pandey said that preparations are being made to send letters by post.
