Ramkumari Jhankri, the leader of the United Samajwadi Party, said that the former king Gyanendra Shah was the main responsible for the incidents of looting, vandalism and arson in Tinkune, Koteshwar, Jadibuti, Balkumari and other areas in the name of Rajawadi.

On Friday, the Rajawadis vandalized and set fire to the party office of the United Samajwadi Party and pelted stones at the house of President Madhav Kumar Nepal. A journalist inside was killed when Rajawadi set fire to a house in Tinkune. Another protester was shot dead by the police.

In the demonstration organized to return the monarchy and make Gyanendra Shah king, personal property was vandalized and set on fire. Rajawadis set fire to the Government-owned Herbs Production and Processing Company Limited and burnt dozens of government and private vehicles. They vandalized and looted Bhatbhateni in Koteshwar.

Jhankri, the leader of the United Socialist Party, said that Purwaraja Gyanendra Shah was responsible for all these activities. 'The scene of arson and vandalism of public and private property, burning people with keys made them even more restless. The former king Gyanedra is responsible for this whole incident,' said Jhankri, 'he is trying to destroy the constitution by uplifting the people in an unknown way and pushing the country towards instability.'

Jhankri demanded that the government control the situation by saying that Poorvaraja is taking steps to please the powers that enjoy instability and to fulfill their goals. 'Government should immediately stop the activities of the former king. As much private and public property has been destroyed by the royalists, make arrangements to compensate them from the property of the identified leading people and King Gyanendra.'

Jhankri demanded to ban the former king saying that the country cannot tolerate violence and terror again. "The government should take full action against all the criminals who create terror, destroy personal and public property, lock them inside the house and set them on fire," he demanded.
