The police has written a letter to Speaker Devraj Ghimire regarding RPP MP Dhavalshamsher Jabara, who was arrested for his involvement in arson, vandalism and looting during the demonstration by Rajawadi. The police informed the Speaker that he was arrested on criminal charges.

District Police Complex Kathmandu has sent a letter to Speaker Ghimire regarding the arrest of MP Jabra. Ekram Giri, the spokesperson of the Parliament Secretariat, said, 'The police have informed about the arrest of MP Jabra. The letter written by the police has been received.'

Giri said that the police informed according to the provisions of the constitution. In Article 103 (6) of the Constitution, it is arranged that the speaker should be informed if the MP is arrested on criminal charges.

If a member is arrested in that way, the arresting officer must immediately inform the person presiding over the respective House.'
