The National Independent Party's central secretariat meeting has decided to request the government to form a High Judicial Commission of Inquiry to bring the culprits involved in the incidents that took place in Tinkune, Koteshwar and Jadibuti areas of Kathmandu under the legal ambit and ensure proper action.

The decision was taken at the meeting held on Saturday morning. Similarly, in the meeting, it was decided to hold the central committee meeting of the party on Monday.

A group of royalists led by Durga Prasain and Navraj Subedi on Friday set fire, vandalized and looted public and private properties in Thinkune, Koteshwar, Jadibuti and other areas of Kathmandu. In the process, one protester died and one journalist died while reporting. The protestors also burnt the car of Santosh Pariyar, chief whip of RSVP.
