Monarchist movement culmination of anarchy: Samajwadi Morcha

Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has termed Friday's protest by Rajawadi as the culmination of anarchy. He also warned that former king Gyanendra Shah would have to face the consequences if he made a mistake considering the generosity of the political party as a weakness.

In a public meeting organized by Samajwadi Morcha in Kathmandu on Friday, Maoist Chairman Dahal strongly criticized the royalist movement and said that he will answer it from the streets. "The former king made many mistakes in the past, he is suffering the consequences," he said. Beware!

Dahal also said that there is a need to prepare for another peaceful movement in favor of the common Nepali people after self-examination of the past. I want to reflect on the past. I want to announce that I am ready to lead another new revolution to fulfill the dreams of all the martyrs, missing and injured warriors by learning from mistakes,' he said, 'I don't see the need for another war, peaceful movement is necessary.' "We will not give concessions to the groups that create chaos. People's houses have been set on fire," he said. He said that the royalists had joined forces with the Samajwadi Front to spread chaos in the country. "After we had already held the program, the intention of those who wanted to disturb the environment was to excite and terrorize," he said.

Dahal said that the royalists were trying to take advantage of the government's inability to do good work. He also mentioned that the question has been raised that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is not in league with the royalists. He (Oli) has a grudge against the Republic. When you say republic, you see Maoists," he said. "Now they are doing the opposite, it benefits the monarchists. He should come to the House and answer to confirm that he is a republican. But his arrogance does not allow it.' He said that Prime Minister Oli should give a satisfactory answer in the Parliament regarding the removal of Kulman Ghisingh from the executive director of the power plant.

To protect the constitution and strengthen the republic, Dahal said that Congress and UML should do self-examination. "I would like to ask the parties that walked together in the republic and made a peace agreement to review their mistakes and weaknesses," he said, "Why is there so much anger among the people?" As fellow travelers of the Constituent Assembly and the Republic, we have only said caution to turn ourselves towards democratic values. If it is not serious, the revolution against feudalism and brokers will increase it. Come to cooperate for the Republic with honesty.'

Maoist Chairman Dahal said that the review of the constitution can proceed. We said that the constitution will be reviewed after 10 years. A detailed review should be done to see where there is a mistake and where it has not been implemented,' he said, 'Constitutional amendment should not take away rights, but should strengthen democracy and draw a new blueprint for economic prosperity.'

President of the United Samajwadi Party, Madhav Kumar Nepal, warned that if they tried to return the monarchy, they would have to pay a heavy price. "Regressives beware! This country cannot go back to dynasty, family rule. People are independent. Sovereign  has been empowered,' he said, 'Nepali people cannot become slaves of anyone. Behind the history  Can't go.'

President Nepal accused the government of turning away from the work of the people. He said that the reactionary forces are trying to raise their heads because of the government. "The country cannot go in the direction of regression," he said.

Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Netra Vikram Chand commented that there is a conspiracy against the republic at the instigation of foreigners. "The Nepali people have defeated the feudalistic tendency, the authoritarian movement. Those elements whose heaven has fallen are conspiring against the republic at the instigation of foreigners," he said, adding, "Nepali people are proud of the republic. Regressives have talked about bringing back the monarchy. We don't need God, we don't need feudal rulers.'

Chand said that capitalists are capturing and exploiting the change that came from the sacrifice. We want liberation. If the demon of feudalism tries to add another burden, will we accept it?'' he said. He said that the monarchists who tried to return the monarchy to the country should regret it. Why is monarchy needed in Nepal? What did the monarchy do for two and a half hundred years? Everything is known from Panchayat till now. One could not speak in the Panchayat. Workers, Dalits, and farmers were oppressed," he said. "What will happen if the monarchy returns?"

General Secretary Chand emphasized on the need to move towards socialism with Nepali characteristics while correcting the shortcomings of the republic. "Republic is not enough for Nepali people, there are some shortcomings. We are trying to move forward. "History is opening the door," he said, "The progressive power must think in a new way."

Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman Mahindra Rai Yadav warned former king Gyanendra Shah to open the party and enter politics. He accused the ruling coalition of trying to remove the proportional inclusion system. "On the basis of consensus, let the government proceed on the path of amending the constitution," he said.
