Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that former King Gyanendra Shah should answer for the anarchist movement that took place on Friday. Addressing the program held by BP Chintan Foundation in Kathmandu on Saturday, Leader Sitaula said that Gyanendra should answer about Friday's incident.

"I am sorry for the violent and tragic incident that the supporters of the monarchy took place in Koteshwar area of Kathmandu yesterday. I condemn the incident. Did the incident happen at the instigation of Gyanendra or not?  If yes, he should take responsibility,' he said.

Leader Sitaula said that he should take care of the respect and safety given to Gyanendra by the government. 'When the former King Gyanendra was returning from Pokhara, going from the airport to Nirmalniwas via Gaushala, it can be understood that the outcome of that is yesterday's incident, there were some meetings and discussions about the conduct and preparation of the demonstration at his residence,' he said.

He also asked the former king Gyanendra not to behave like he did when he was a king. 'Terror on the people even when he was a king, terror on the people even when he was the last king?' was Sitaula's question. He stated that the republic came after the encroachment of democracy by the kings and claimed that the restoration of the monarchy is not possible now.
