Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh has said that if the constitution should be amended, it can be done in a lawful manner.

Addressing the program organized on Thursday on the occasion of the 44th foundation day of Banepa municipality, he said that the amendment of the constitution can be done in a lawful manner. Reiterating the stability and importance of the constitution, he said that the government will not be under any pressure or confusion.

He claimed that the constitution is the result of people's struggle and there is no alternative to it. He said that with the implementation of the federal democratic republican inclusive constitution, two general elections and local elections have been completed. "The shortcomings seen during the practice of the constitution can be rectified through methods and procedures," he said. He said that no matter what kind of challenge comes, the solution should be found from the constitution and the government will not waver if someone says something. 

He said that the government is committed to improving the living standards of the citizens and the government is also running various programs to improve the living standards of the citizens.
