The meeting of the House of Representatives has been adjourned till three o'clock on Wednesday after the opposition party demanded an answer from the Prime Minister as to why Kulman was removed. The meeting was initially adjourned for half an hour after opposition parties disrupted the meeting.
As the meeting could not start at that time, the General Secretary of the Federal Parliament, Padma Prasad Pandey issued a notice and informed that the meeting has been adjourned till 3 o'clock.
The opposition parties have disrupted the meeting of the House of Representatives demanding the Prime Minister's answer. The meeting called for 11 am on Wednesday morning was delayed and the opposition parties protested at the beginning.
After that, Speaker Devraj Ghimire gave CPN (Maoist Center) MP Shakti Bahadur Basnet time to speak. MP Basnet said that the government was oblivious to the changing situation and in favor of interest groups and middlemen removed the executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority.
The opposition parties CPN-Maoist Center, Rashtriya Swatantra Party and Rashtriya Prajatantra Party protested in the House saying that Kulman Ghising was removed from the post of Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority.
The government has removed Ghising as the executive director of the authority and appointed Hitendradev Shakya. He demanded that the Prime Minister should respond to the matter saying that the decision to remove Kulman Ghisingh, the executive director of the authority, should be reversed. As soon as MP Basnet finished his speech, the opposition MPs stood up again and protested. Speaker Ghimire adjourned the House for 30 minutes amid protests.
