Forest and Environment Minister Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri has said that all the countries of the world should work together to reduce carbon emissions immediately. While addressing the 'Petersburg Climate Dialogue-2025' organized in Berlin, the capital of Germany, Minister Shahi said that the increase in the temperature of the earth should be kept in balance and the mobilization of climate finance should be accelerated.

In the dialogue, Minister Shahi drew the attention of the world community to the fact that even though Nepal emits negligible carbon, it has to be the most affected by the opportunities of climate change. On that occasion, Minister Shahi informed about the 'Sagarmatha Dialogue' that Nepal is going to organize in Kathmandu from 2nd to 4th May.

For the past 14 years, the German government has been organizing the 'Petersburg Climate Dialogue' to promote the importance of multilateralism and international cooperation on climate change.

On the special invitation of the German government, Minister Shahi has gone to Germany to participate in the 15th Petersburg Climate Dialogue. The dialogue will be held on 12th and 13th of Chait. About 40 ministers from different countries are participating in the dialogue. Where climate finance, goals of the Paris Agreement, climate adaptation and other topics will be implemented, there will be a comprehensive discussion.

Minister Shahi is scheduled to return home on 15th Chait according to his private secretariat.
