Voters were surprised when the election commission announced the schedule for the selection of the new leadership of Press Chowtari Nepal, an association of journalists, without setting the time for voting.
Chairman of the Election Commission, Ganesh Khanal, has announced the timetable for publication of the voter list, protesting claims, investigation and publication of the final list until 2 o'clock on Monday.
According to the Election Commission, the nomination time of the candidates is 2:45 pm, the publication of the list of candidates is at 3:00 pm, the protest against the candidate is at 3:10 pm and the final list publication is scheduled at 4:00 pm . The time for withdrawal of nominations is 4:15 pm and the time of publication of the final list of candidates is fixed for 4:20 pm .
"It is undemocratic to set the time for announcing the election results without any program of voting," a member of Chautari expressed his anger, "Such an undemocratic act is not acceptable in an organization that is called democratic."
