Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa has said that the government's decision to remove Kulman Ghising as the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority is absolutely wrong. General Minister Thapa, while responding to Kantipur, said that since he was in the government, he did the work of manipulation.
'This is completely wrong. They tricked us. At a time when we have to work to remove the dissatisfaction of citizens, this kind of work has been done deliberately by the government," said General Minister Thapa. He also says that the government has forced its hands where it should not be and has created problems.
'Running the government is a matter of common sense. It is foolish to forcefully create a problem by interfering in something that does not need to be interfered with. I don't know why he did it,' he said. General Minister Thapa also said that they have repeatedly told party chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba that it is not appropriate to remove Kulman.
Another general minister of the Congress, Bishwa Prakash Sharma, has also said that the government has taken a wrong step by removing Kulman Ghising as the executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority. On Monday evening, through social media, General Minister Sharma also said that there was no consensus among Congress officials to remove Kulman.
The government has appointed Hitendradev Shakya as the executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority. The Council of Ministers held on Monday removed Kulman Ghising and appointed Shakya.
