Yogendra Rawal, one of those who beat Tribhuvan University vice-professor Prem Chaane 4 years ago in the university premises, has been arrested. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) arrested Rawal from Kirtipur and sent him to Dillibazar Jail to serve his sentence.

CIB spokesperson Sudhirraj Shahi said that he was submitted to the court and sent to jail. He was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and a fine of 20,000 by the district court of Kathmandu. The High Court Patan also upheld the order. Shahi said that Rawal was a fugitive defendant and sent to jail.

Earlier in 2080, Ravin Lama, who attacked Chaitane, was prosecuted by the Kathmandu police . He was arrested after an arrest warrant was issued against Lama. The district court of Kathmandu sentenced six people who attacked the driver on November 7, 2080 to two years in prison .

Judge Vinod Khatiwada's bench decided that Hari Acharya, Rawal, Rupesh Sah, Niraj Ranamgar and Sayuj Shrestha along with the defendants in the case will be imprisoned for 2 years and fined 20,000 according to section 192 sub-section (5) of the Criminal Code 2074. There was a case against them in the industry of killing . The court also ordered the deputy professor to pay 2.8 million compensation.

In October 2077, the vice-professor was beaten to death by a group including Acharya, Secretary Rawal, the then unit president of the Union. Those who run them demanding action have been struggling for three years
