Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka has claimed that the country can achieve revolutionary prosperity through the efficient use of water. Addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Saturday, he said that it is necessary to use water efficiently today.

Energy Minister Khadka said that water is not only a carrier of daily life but also a carrier of economic prosperity. He said that the government is moving forward with the goal of enriching the country and creating jobs by using water. Water resources are the backbone of Nepal's culture, civilization and economic development. Stating that it happened, he opined that the world water cycle itself has changed due to climate change.

"It is the need of the day to use water properly". Using it properly is the need of today. It is also a resource . This resource is very useful not only in daily life, but also for the economic prosperity of the country,' Khadka said, 'We are moving towards revolutionary economic prosperity for Nepal by using water to enrich and create jobs.'

Similarly, the Constitution of Nepal has given the responsibility of the proper use and protection of water resources to all three levels of the Union, State and Local Government and the National Water Resources Policy-2077 has emphasized on the maximum use for the economic prosperity and social transformation of the country . He said that the rivers and glaciers originating from the Himalayan mountain range have formed the basis of the country's energy, agriculture, tourism and biological diversity.

He emphasized on expanding local, national and international partnerships for the sustainable use of water resources while reducing the effects of climate change.
