President of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, Upendra Yadav, has claimed that this country cannot develop as long as the government and power remain in the hands of the Congress-Communists. He said that even though Nepal has many potentials and the basis for becoming a developed country in the world, the situation of the country has become like this because of the Congress-Communists.

Speaking at a program held in Bhairahawa on Saturday, he alleged that the Congress-Communists, who have ruled this country for the past 35 years, have ruined the country's economy and failed to improve agriculture, industry, education and health. "35 years is not a short time, but the problem of poverty and employment could not be solved," he said,  'Who takes responsibility? The rulers are increasing corruption instead of reducing it.'

Yadav, who is a former deputy prime minister, said that corruption and commissariat had increased under the Congress-Communist regime, and that the economic status of the country had deteriorated due to the protection of the corrupt in party politics. He said that the development of agriculture is necessary to strengthen Nepal's economy.

Yadav said that even if imports can be stopped by encouraging farmers engaged in agriculture, the economy will improve.
