The UML, led by the government, is also going to hold a street demonstration in favor of a democratic republic. After the announcement of the movement by the royalists, the UML has also prepared to demonstrate nationwide as per the decision of the Central Secretariat.

UML has announced a public awareness program in all the wards across the country on the same day on March 11th.

General Secretary Shankar Pokharel addressed the presidents of all provinces and district committees through a virtual meeting on Thursday and instructed them to effectively implement the program decided by the party.

While the UML is running a three-month ward-centered campaign, it has revised the program from March 11 to 30 and instructed to organize mass mobilization and public awareness programs in favor of the federal republic in all provinces and districts. According to the UML, a motorcycle rally in Dhangadhi, Surkhet, Butwal, Pokhara, Birgunj and Damak on March 18, a district-level awakening meeting in all districts on March 24 and a special demonstration and public meeting in Dhangadhi, Surkhet, Butwal, Pokhara, Birgunj and Damak from March 24 to 30.

According to Secretary General Pokharel Secretariat, a speaker from the party center will address the special meeting to be held at the state level. The 46th meeting of the UML Secretariat on Chait 4 decided to seriously discuss the planned activities against the democratic republic and the constitution of Nepal. "The party resolves to stand firmly for the protection of the Constitution of Nepal and its institutionalized federal democratic republic, inclusive system and social justice," the decision of the meeting said.

General Secretary Pokharel instructed to conduct the public awareness campaign based on facts. "After the end of Panchayat, it is a historic achievement in important indicators such as gross domestic product, per capita income, absolute poverty rate, expansion of road network, availability of basic drinking water to the people, communication facilities, electricity generation and consumption, increase in the average life expectancy of Nepalese, reduction in infant mortality," he said.
