All the three absconded along with the chairman of the village who demolished the houses of Dalits in Aurhi rural municipality-5 of Siraha in the name of performing Maha Yajna. President Shivji Yadav, organizer Bagrangi Baba and former ward president Dilip Yadav absconded.
After the incident came to light, Chief District Officer of Siraha Basudev Dahal and Chief of Police Ramesh Pandit went to the site of the incident and the village council office on Thursday afternoon. However, the Pandit said that they were not found and remained out of contact.
Pandit informed that the chief administrative officer of the rural municipality, Udityanarayan Karna, was asked to bring all three of them in contact. 'We went to get information about the incident,' he said, 'but they have all escaped.'
The three people along with the rural municipality president Yadav destroyed the house of local Deepak Mallik, who had been living there for 30 years in the name of the Maha Yagya, which will be held from Chait 17.
The Mallik family, who were evicted from there as untouchables, are now living in a temporary tent on the land of the community school, which is in the solitude of the village.
