Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has informed that 13 of the 14 traditional trade points between Nepal and China have been re-opened.
During the question and answer program with the parliamentarians at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, Prime Minister Oli said that a diplomatic initiative is being taken to reopen Uraibhanjyang border crossing in Bajhang district. He also informed that it has been implemented along with the procedure to provide permits to the Nepali citizens of the border crossing districts.
Prime Minister Oli said, 'I would like to inform you about the border management agreement signed in 2019 between Nepal and China regarding the re-operation of traditional trading points at 14 locations on the Nepal-China border. Accordingly, the Procedure 2081 related to providing permission to travel to China to Nepali citizens of districts bordering China has been implemented.
Prime Minister Oli said that even though the border crossing is operational, traffic may not be possible through some border crossings temporarily due to snowfall.
