The meeting of RPP Central Performance Committee held on Tuesday decided that party president Rajendra Lingden will lead the entire program of the movement. RPP had already formed a movement mobilization core committee under the leadership of party president Lingden. Dhavalshamsher Rana was the coordinator of the movement mobilization committee. He was deciding the program of the movement. From the performance committee meeting, Lingden has now concentrated all the authority on himself.
Since Rana is active in the committee led by Subedi and he is also the coordinator of the movement mobilization committee there, Lingden has stated that he has taken responsibility for the movement program decided by RPP. Party spokesperson Mohan Kumar Shrestha said that RPP is in the movement under the leadership of President Lingden. He informed that the next program will be decided by holding a meeting of the Movement Mobilization Core Committee on 12 March. The RPP has already held state-level meetings in five places with demands such as the restoration of the monarchy and the Hindu nation. Assembly is yet to be held in Bagmati and Madhesh provinces.
In the performance committee meeting, there was also a review on the matter of keeping party members in the committee formed under the leadership of Subedi. Leaders including Pashupatishamsher Rana, Prakashchandra Lohani, Rabindra Mishra have been kept as members in the Subedi-led committee. President Lingden has disagreed with that. Leaders other than Subedi were present at the party meeting. Subedi announced his resignation from the party and became the coordinator of the Jan Andolan Committee.
RPP has concluded that the government led by Congress and UML has completely failed in solving the problems facing the country. According to the statement issued by the RPP, the government has failed to overcome the sluggish economy, rampant corruption and the frustration of the common people. The RP is of the opinion that systemic weakness needs to be radically improved to solve the problem. RPP has asked all political parties to prepare for a 'new understanding' that does not prohibit anyone.
