Nepali Congress General Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that if everyone fulfills their responsibilities in active membership distribution, the convention can be easily completed on time. The leaders have been holding different views on the issue of the party convention.

In the past, the biggest hurdle for conventions has been building an active membership. About a year after the 14th convention, the convention could not be held due to a membership inquiry. General Minister Thapa has been claiming that this time membership distribution will be made transparent and there will be no disputes.

General Minister Thapa said that in the meeting of the active membership management central committee held at the central office in Sanepa on Tuesday, there was an in-depth discussion and discussion on the issues of membership distribution. The committee chaired by General Minister Thapa has central members Sita Gurung and Prakash Rasaili as members. After the

meeting, General Minister Thapa said through social media, 'Today there was an intensive discussion and discussion on the issue of active membership distribution. When everyone fulfills their responsibility in active membership distribution, we will be able to successfully complete the Nepali Congress session easily and on time.'

According to the constitution, the convention of the Congress should be held every four years. In case of special circumstances, one year can be extended and if it is not within that period, the constitution has provided the facility to hold the convention by adding another 6 months. The 14th convention of the Congress was held in November 078. Based on this, the four-year term of this Central Committee will be completed in the coming 082 December.

In this way, according to the provisions of the statute, the Congress should have held its convention within November 2008. But according to that, the work of the party has not progressed and the leadership has been criticized for not progressing the work so that the convention will be held on time . Moreover, after the chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba called a meeting of the leaders close to him and proposed that preparations should be made to hold the convention only after the 084 election, the issue of when the convention has become more complicated.

In this regard, General Minister Thapa is of the opinion that the convention will be held on time and for that everyone should fulfill their responsibilities and ensure the environment in active membership distribution.

The management committee of Thapa coordinatorship has sent the agenda to the district after finalizing the active membership from the district by the end of March.
