Independent student union elections were held on Tuesday in the individual and affiliated campuses of Tribhuvan University. 65 percent of students participated in the voting, according to the Central Monitoring and Coordinating Committee of SWIU Elections. The election process has been disrupted in 22 campuses out of 62 affiliated campuses and some affiliated campuses.

According to the Central Election Committee, an election has been held to select the leadership of Swaviyu in about 300 campuses after obtaining membership and affiliation. Counting started soon after polling ended on Tuesday in most campuses. According to the results obtained till 12 midnight, ANRASWVIU and NAVISANGH have won 5-5 campus presidents. In one campus, All-Revolutionaries and in two campuses, independent candidates have won the presidency. 

Aneraswawiu has published the list with the claim that it has won the president of 70 campuses after obtaining membership and affiliation. The Union has not made the list public, claiming that it has won more campuses than ANERASWAIU president. Dujang Sherpa, President of the Navy said that the list is being prepared. Akhil Krantikari has presented the list and claimed to have won the presidentship of Swaviyu in 50 campuses. Trivial collects and publishes the vote count results of individual campuses only.

Independent candidate Swayam Shrestha has been elected as the President of Pulchok Engineering Campus under Institute of Engineering Studies. According to the campus, Diwas Sapkota, the candidate of the Maoist-affiliated All-Revolutionaries, won the post of secretary. Shrestha and Sapkota won by defeating the candidates of the ruling Congress-affiliated Navy Sangh and the UML-affiliated Aneraswaviyu. Viraj Aryal of ANERASWAVIU was victorious in the 2079 SWAVIU election in Pulchok. This time too he was the candidate. Elected as the president, Shrestha was previously a member of Swaviyu. Albert Dhakal of the Navy has won the treasurer post.

Prahlad Khadka of Navy Sangh was elected as President of Thapathali Engineering Campus and Jesse Upadhyay of Akhil Krantikari as Secretary. According to the campus, Hrishikesh Prajapati of Navy Sangh has won as treasurer. Voting was done through electronic voting machines in Pulchok and Thapathali Engineering. In the election of 2079, the candidate of the Navy Association won the presidency. Prajwal Adhikari, who ran as an independent candidate with the support of Navy Sangh and All Revolutionaries, was elected as the President of Chitwan Engineering Campus. He has defeated Vishal Pokharel of Aneraswaviyu. 

In Ayurveda Campus Kirtipur, the candidate of Navisangh and Lalitkala Campus Bhotahiti has become the president of Aneraswaviyu. Nishan Aryal in Ayurveda Campus and Ashish Paudel in Fine Art Campus were elected as presidents. In Nepalgunj Nursing Campus, the panel led by ANRASWAVIUK Devarchana Adhikari has been elected. Pratibha Bhandari of ANERASWAVIU has been elected in Pokhara Nursing and Abhishek Sharma of ANERASWAVIU has also been elected in Pokhara Forest Campus. Asim Vasti in Lamjung Agricultural Campus and Swarnim Adhikari in Gauradah Agricultural Campus Jhapa have been elected presidents. They belong to the Navy. In the Gorkha campus, the panel led by Sulabh Aamgai of All Revolutionaries has won. 

According to Central Election Committee Coordinator and Rector Khadg KC, Public Administration, Ayurveda, Maharajganj Nursing, Pulchok, Bhaktapur, Maharajganj Medical, Mahendra Ratna Tahachal, Lalitkala Bhotahiti, Sanothimi Campus, Nepal Commerce Campus, Thapathali, Mahendra Ratna Ilam, Mechi Multiverse, Gauradah Krishi Jhapa, Mahendra Morang, Biratnagar Nursing, Postgraduate Elections have been held in Biratnagar. Similarly, East Zone Dharan, Mahendra Multipurpose Dharan, Central Technology Dharan, Bhojpur, Mahendra Bindeshwari, Suryanarayan Satyanarayan Morvaita Yadav Sirha, Thakurram Birgunj, Birgunj Nursing, Hetaunda, Chitwan Engineering, Gorkha, Lamjung, West Pokhara, Pokhara Nursing, Pokhara Forest, Dhaulagiri Baglung, Tribhuvan Palpa, Nursing Nepalgunj, Doti And voting has also taken place in Jumla campus. 

Mahendra Multipurpose Campus Dang and Dhankuta Multipurpose Campus were unopposed in the nomination registration. Campus head Narayan Panthi said that Dipesh Kumar Dangi of Navy Sangh and Sagar Pandit of Aneraswavyu were unopposed as the president of Mahendra Multibhaya's Swaviyu. Head of the campus Hom Bahadur Basnet informed that Dhankuta's Yuva Timilsina of Aneraswawiyu, Subas Khanal of Navy Union and Milan Budhatho were unopposed as vice president and secretary.

Patan Joint Campus and Prithvi Narayan Campus have been stopped after the election process started. The students complained that the election of these two campuses was canceled due to the negligence of the campus and the election committee. After 100 people cast their votes in the Patan United Campus, the process was halted due to a dispute and became uncertain after the clash. A few students were injured in a clash between the students of the Union and Aneraswawiyu in the campus premises. There was a controversy after some students said that they did not get voter ID cards. Election officer Chhviram Baral said that an agreement will be sought on Wednesday through all-party discussions to proceed with the election. 

In Prithvi Narayan of Pokhara, voting could not take place due to missing names of candidates on the ballot paper. The campus said that voting will be held on Wednesday. There are 9,200 voters in Prithvi Narayan campus. Polling in Ratnarajya Lakshmi (RR), Trichandra and Amrit Science College (ASKAL) in Kathmandu was also blocked at the last minute. Elections could not be held due to the blockade of Aneraswaviyu in RR, the rebel group of Navy Sangh in Trichandra and Akhil Revolutionary in Askal. Elections could not be held in Trichandra and RR even in 2079. 

Padmakanya Campus has announced the schedule of elections on 7th March and University Campus Kirtipur on 8th March. The teacher of the campus said that the polling program was stopped due to the internal dispute of the union in both these campuses.

Elections have also been postponed in Shankardev, Saraswati, Public Youth, Nepal Law, Vishwabhasha campuses in Kathmandu valley. It is also uncertain when the elections will be held there. Outside of Kathmandu, elections were not held in Tehrathum Campus Atharai, Ramswaroop Ramsagar Janakpur, Rampur Campus, Birendra Multipurpose Campus, Butwal Multipurpose, Paklihwa, Bhairahawa, Surkhet and Siddhanath Science Campus Kanchanpur. The Election Committee has again instructed these campuses to proceed with the voting process.
