It has been revealed that Kushang Lama, who was arrested with 25 crore rupees from Kathmandu's Tokha, had previously spent 5 years in jail for revenue evasion and gold smuggling.
Police arrested him last night from Tokha Municipality-2 Jhor along with Rs. Lama belongs to Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-1 of Sindhupalchok.
'We made a false bottom on the left side of the cabin and recovered all the money hidden there,' said SSP Ramesh Basnet, head of the Kathmandu Valley Investigation Office, in a press conference today. The police seized American dollars and Euros from him. He was the driver of the vehicle alone. 
SSP Basnet said that La, who was caught on January 13, 2073, was in jail for 5 years in gold smuggling.
The police say that the car driven by Lama is in the name of his mother.
