Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal commented that the former king Gyanendra Shah helped as a villain for the establishment of the republic. Addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Tuesday, President Dahal commented that they had prepared the foundation for the republic and that the then King Shah played a role as a villain.
Dahal said that the former king helped them even in foolish ways. We have prepared the foundation for the republic. And Gyanendra helped us even through his stupidity. A few more years if he hadn't been too stupid... If he had not oppressed seven political parties, if he had not kicked the leaders, he could have lasted for a few more years. Gyanendra's role as a villain is also important in the establishment of the republic,' he said.
President Dahal says that the artless drama of restoring the monarchy has been performed even now. He said that with this step, the basis of a new resolution has been prepared to empower the Nepali people, to be more aware and to move forward in the journey of socialist revolution. 'Again, the role of Gyanendra Shah is important. Stories, literature, novels are not only driven by heroes, they also need villains. If the villain is not active, the hero may not be successful. If the villain is a bit dangerous, he acts with strength,' he said.
President Dahal said that the need for revision of the constitution is not revision. He said that it is necessary to revise the constitution only after reviewing it.
