Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh, the student organization of the ruling Congress, has locked the Trichandra campus in Kathmandu. On the eve of the Swabiyu elections, the entrance gate of the Trichandra campus was locked by the Union.

Swaviyu is a candidate from the lock-in union. The Vivek Banian group, the candidate for the post of Swaviyu president from the Indian Union, has locked the campus.  The party to lock has accused the Swaviyu Election Committee of ignoring their demands and not participating in the meeting.

Without meeting their demands, the group has warned that they will conduct further protests by holding the elections in a single way.

The group says that if their demands are not met, the head of the campus and the officials of the election committee will be blocked from entering the campus.
