CPN (Maoist Centre) MP Madhav Sopkota has demanded the government to take necessary legal and diplomatic initiatives to bring the body of Sumina Tamang of Sindhupalchok who died in Iraq for employment to Nepal.
Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, MP Sapkota also demanded to give proper compensation to the family of the deceased Tamang.
Sumina Tamang of Sindhupalchok, who went to Iraq for employment two years ago, died on 2 Chait. Tamang, who fell on the floor while working at home, was rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment and died while being treated.
She came to Iraq through an illegal route due to her serious illness and weak physical condition, and her air ticket was canceled after the airlines did not give permission to bring her to Nepal twice.
Now it is said that it will take about two months to send his body to Nepal.
