Prada Achyut Wagle has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University (KU). Chancellor and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli appointed him, according to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

He has been sent to the Prime Minister's Office to get his appointment letter. An employee of the Cabinet Office said that the appointment letter will be given today.

After the term of Vice-Chancellor Bhola Thapa ended on January 4, Wagle was in charge of acting Vice-Chancellor . On October 2, 2079, he was appointed registrar by the then Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
