Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh has said that although the Council of Ministers has agreed in principle to draft a bill to provide facilities for former special officials, no further work has been done.

He said that although he gave principled consent to the bill regarding the facilities of pre-specialized officials according to the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs on December 9, it is clear what the government's intention is because it has not been discussed in depth and the process for making laws has not been initiated.

Nepal Journalist Federation Palpa branch held a press conference in Tansen on Saturday and Deputy Prime Minister Singh accepted the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs as a theoretical discussion. But he said that the discussion has yet to be done in addition to advancing the work.

"The Ministry of Home Affairs has brought a proposal for a theoretical discussion in the current Council of Ministers because the previous government decided to make a law and later instructed it to be implemented," he said. But no work has been carried out since then.'

The Council of Ministers decided on December 9th to "give in-principle approval to draft a bill to make arrangements for the facilities of pre-special officials" in accordance with the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

In the recent past, Deputy Prime Minister Singh urged the media to convey news that inspires hope rather than spreading despair among the general public, and asked them to distinguish between truth and lies in the news coming on social media. Eliminating the curiosity of the media in a different context, he said that republicans will not accept talking about monarchy in a republic that has fought for democracy and freedom. Speaking about the increased activities of the monarchists, he said that in the current situation, there is no point in advocating the monarchy.
