National Independent Party MP Sobita Gautam has said that the law is being misused. In Wednesday's meeting of the House of Representatives, MP Gautam accused the government of engaging in control-oriented work.
MP Gautam said that the government is becoming intolerant and control-oriented. "The government is going on the path of control". I see, the government is very vigilant, intolerant and determined to suppress the new voices that are emerging,' she said, 'The government has lost public trust and is in a serious crisis.' But this crisis is caused by the government itself. The government should have made the law a scale of justice, but made a sword of vengeance.'
Gautam said that the government is suppressing the emerging new forces. She alleged that the new party, which was born and raised in the republic and could stand in the first line to protect democracy, is being oppressed with false cases.
Gautam said that not answering questions in the House, reprimanding MPs who ask the opposite question, taking away the pass of journalists, bringing a bill to control social media, declaring forbidden areas and occupying roads are signs of a control-oriented regime . "The government can control houses, roads, social networks, everything, but it cannot control people's consciousness," she said.
Gautam said that the threat to democracy is not coming from anyone else but from the government. She urged, 'behave in accordance with everyone else's opinion, otherwise the result will be in favor of the people .'
