CPN Maoist Center Vice President Narayankaji Shrestha has said that a check dishonor case will not be registered on the basis of writing the wrong amount on the cheque.
He said this while speaking at a meeting of the Legislation Management Committee under the National Assembly on Wednesday.
He reminded that if the wrong amount is written in the cheque, the time is set to correct it. According to him, there is a legal provision to correct the wrong checks within 30 days.
He said, 'Just because the wrong amount is written on the check, the check is not dishonored. The 30 days before check dishonor registration is counted. Therefore, if there is a mistake, it will be corrected at that time."
