Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that it is necessary to give stability to the federal democratic republic saying that anti-republican forces are encouraging.
Addressing the Koshi Provincial Assembly on Tuesday, Oli said that the priority now is to protect the republic, amend the constitution as needed and create a legal regime.

Stating that the parties are ready to move on a democratic, law-abiding, and just path, he warned the opposition forces not to look askance at the system of civil supremacy.

The ruling parties UML and Congress issued whips to their MPs to listen to Prime Minister Oli's speech. The opposition parties Maoist, CPN United Socialists and RPP also warned of boycotting the Prime Minister's speech.
