Don't you want to change the leader? Had Balbuta gone, I would have been the leader of the party: Gagan Thapa

Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa has said that his party is fully committed to the current system. Addressing the House of Representatives at a special time on Tuesday, Thapa said that he is committed to preserving the democracy brought by all together.

Thapa, who spoke after the former prime minister and main opposition party Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, said, 'Congress appreciates the commitment of the opposition party towards the constitution and federal democratic republic of Nepal. We are all equally committed to this arrangement. We are very committed to strengthening the system of the constitution to protect this democracy that we have brought together.'

In the same way, General Minister Thapa addressed the young generation and said that freedom like in democracy cannot be found in any system. Pointing to the absolutism of the Shahi period, he said, 'At one time, a visa was required to go to any place within Nepal. While we were talking overnight, our phones were cut, the internet was cut. We were arrested while walking on the street.' Thapa also said that the country has spent significant time in various political movements and wars in the last few decades. He further said, '80s to 90s will be the year of development and improvement. Let's not make the 80s and 90s the year of another political adventure.'

In addition, Congress General Minister Thapa also commented on the spread of confusion that this was the case in the monarchy. He also urged the young generation to turn the data. 'Someone comes and says that Nepal used to sell rice, look at the data. Some people say that Nepal was a paradise then, look at the data. One can say that Nepal was very good at that time - drinking water, infrastructure were all there. I am not saying that everything is better now than let's look at the data,' he said.  Mentioning that

can be done much better than it is now, Chief Minister Thapa said, 'It can be done much better than this. So my advice to young friends is to embrace the opportunities that come before us. For that, the opportunity of the current open environment has to be covered. Why it did not happen in the previous 30 years and in the last 30 years is only a matter of freedom of choice.'

Similarly, General Minister Thapa says that the most beautiful aspect of the democratic system is the way of listening to citizens. He further said, 'The most beautiful thing about democracy is to listen to citizens  . Those who don't listen go. Change the party. We are the ones who have said about changing the leader. We are trying. If I were afraid of my strength, I would be the leader of the party now. Are you sitting with your hands raised?'

Thapa said that although the Congress has been following the constitutional monarchy since the beginning, it is now fully committed to the federal democratic republican system. Congress has not reached there only because of one incident or reaction. 2059 year October 18 And the events of January 19 naturally made us  Quick in decision  Helped to reach.' He also commented that the Congress was the first party to decide that it should go to federalism through the party convention. He said that the current governance system and federal system came from long practice.

'We want to change something in the electoral system. We want to make the framework of federalism work. There are different opinions even within the Congress. The fundamentals of the constitution should not be used. We want to move things forward in a positive way. We sit together and talk, we can amend the constitution by discussing with Maoists, Madheshists and new parties,' he said.
