Former President Ganesh Thapa has filed a defamation case against All Nepal Football Association General Secretary Kiran Rai in Kathmandu District Court on Tuesday. Earlier, he filed a complaint against General Secretary Rai in the Cyber Bureau.
Thapa has said that Rai complained about the subject he spoke about. Thapa issued a statement on Tuesday and said that he has also filed a case in the district court while taking the process of legal action saying that Rai has made false and untrue allegations against him.
Thapa has issued a press statement and said, 'General Secretary Kiran Rai has tried to assassinate my character by making baseless allegations that I embezzled 17 crore rupees from ANFA, and later that I deposited 8 crore rupees in ANFA's account after the investigation of asset laundering.'
