Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, has said that asking for clarification and moving towards removal even when working round the clock is prejudiced and unjust.
In response to the explanation asked by Energy Minister Deepak Khadka on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, Ghising said that injustice is being done to him.
'Even though the Nepal Electricity Authority Act 2041 does not mention the separate duties and duties of the executive director, I have been working round the clock for the prosperity of the institution, the Nepali people and the country, so as to achieve the spirit and purpose of the Act.' I request that the behavior including asking for clarification is unexpected, biased and unfair.'
Ghising has mentioned that load shedding has been ended in Nepal during his tenure. "My first term as Executive Director started from 30th of Bhadra 2073 and the second term started from 25th July 2078". During this period, lodhshedding, which took place for about 18 hours a day, was ended,' he said .
Energy Minister Khadka said in the House of Representatives meeting that credit for load shedding in Nepal should be given to India and India should be thanked for that work.
The cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence Baluwatar last Wednesday evening decided to ask for a three-day explanation from the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation as to why Ghising was not removed. On the proposal of Energy Minister Khadka, the Cabinet meeting gave the power to the Ministry of Energy to ask Ghising for an explanation. Ghising sent the reply to the explanation.
Khadka had made various attempts to remove Ghising from the post since he was appointed as the energy minister on June 30. Minister Khadka asked for clarification twice. He asked for documents from Ghising twice.
Minister Khadka has opened his office in the office of Electricity Authority. On February 13, Energy Minister Khadka asked Ghisingh to submit an answer within 24 hours.
