Maoist Deputy General Secretary Varshman Pun has said that there is no alternative to federalism. He said that development and prosperity can be brought within the current federalism.

While inaugurating the newly constructed administrative building of Rolpa municipality in Liwang of Rolpa on Friday, he argued that federalism would help in the development of the country. 'Prosperity and development of the country is possible with the current three-level federalism. Therefore, it is the main task of political parties to move forward by destroying federalism,' he said. He argues that federalism brought the concept of equal development and the aim of the movement was a model of proportional development. Pun, who is also a former finance minister, said that proper federalism will be meaningful only through coordination and cooperation between local, state and union. At this time, it has been found that there is opposition to federalism in some cases. But federalism is necessary for equal development and mutual relations and inclusion,' he said. 

He argues that it is natural to think that federalism is bad because of the current situation. He suggested that the law can be amended to solve the problem. He said that in the neighboring country India, there were similar difficulties when implementing federalism in the beginning and later it became easier.

In the inauguration program of the new building of the city, which was built within a year, along with Pun, the former Chief Minister and Member of Parliament of Lumbini Province, Jokh Bahadur Mahara, the former Minister of Health and Member of Parliament of Lumbini, Dipendra Kumar Pun, etc.
