The police have released the accused arrested in the case of the rape and suspicious death of 17-year-old Rinkukumari Sada of Navrajpur rural municipality-1 Bhagwatipur in Siraha. The District Police Office, Siraha, announced them in a press conference on Friday.
According to the police, so far a total of 8 people have been arrested in this incident. Among those arrested are Rupesh Mandal, the main accused of rape, and Nathuni Sahahit, a ward member involved in the panchayat, local Ramkripal Mandal, Vindeshwar Sah, Rajendra Mandal, Chandeshwar Mandal, Ramvinod Mandal and Kamlesh Das.
Among them, Rupesh, Nathuni, Ramkripal and Vindeshwar are the persons named in the complaint, while others are not named in the complaint, but they are people who play a role in the panchayat. Chandeshwar, Ramvinod and Kamlesh were arrested by the police on February 11.
Similarly, the main accused of rape, Rupesh, was arrested on the 21st. Similarly, Siraha Police Spokesperson Birendra Kumar Paswan said that four other people were arrested from different places of the district while they were hiding on Friday morning.
