Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka has said that the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, has no role or contribution in ending load shedding in Nepal. Minister Khadka said that India should be thanked for the end of load shedding in Nepal.
Minister Khadka, while answering a question raised by MPs about the attempt to remove Ghising as the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority in the House of Representatives meeting on Thursday, said that India has a role, not Ghising's, in Nepal from the end of load shedding to the sale of electricity.
'By ending loadshedding, we are giving the title of hero by the society, you/us, everyone . But former ministers working in the same ministry have a good knowledge of how the load shedding ended. At the end of load shedding, we imported 450 MW of electricity from India. The requirement of Nepal at that time was 425 megawatts,' said Khadka, 'on the other hand, we said that there was load-shedding in Udyoghandanda by giving the line less in the evening.
