As the time for nominations for the 27th working committee selection of Nepal Bar Association is nearing, the ruling party Congress-MLN has not been able to select legal professional candidates. The deadline for nominations is 5:00 pm on Thursday.

Although the Congress and the Democratic Lawyers Association (DLA) and the Progressive Lawyers Association (PLA) have agreed to raise a common candidate, they have not been able to decide on the candidate yet.

12 and 13 out of 25 officials have agreed between DLA and PLA. It has been agreed between the two organizations that the president will leave the position of 13 office bearers. Senior advocate Upendra Kishori Neupane, who became the president of the Congress DLA, has discussed candidacy.

Similarly, Raman Shrestha, a senior advocate of the Progressive Professional Lawyers Association (PPLA), is going to run as a common candidate of the opposition Dalnikat . The election of the association, which has about 10,000 voters, will be held on March 23.
